Woodge System Update 24.05
Woodge System Update 24.05 enhances functionality: refines dashboard accessibility per department, introduces editable file notes from custom views, improves task management with new views and @mentions, and speeds up custom catalogue imports with server-side processing.
Dashboard Improvements
When logging into the system the navigation links in the dashboard now always show correctly.
There are new options in the department setting to control which dashboards can be seen by employees.
If 'Show Employee Only Department Dashboard' is set to 'Yes' then the members of this department will only be able to view the department for other members of the same department and not all employees.
In this example a sales person can only see the dashboard for other members of the sales department.
If the setting "Show Employee Only Own Dashboard" is set then the user can only access their own dashboard.
The employees in this department can only access their own dashboard. If an employee is the manager of a department they can automatically always view the dashboard for employees in their department.
Product Option Card Window
It is now easier to clear which aperture a product is in using the new clear button.
Schedule Filtering
It is now possible to restrict which schedule presets that an employee has access to.
From the Department Detail section of the Admin area you can now set if the Employees in that Department have access to all Schedule Presets or just specific ones.
If 'Show All Schedule Presets' is set to 'Yes' then all Employees in that department can view all presets. If this is set to 'No' then they can only see the Presets that are added to the list and set to show.
File Notes Now Editable From Custom View
It is now possible to have an file notes editable.
Modifying the notes field will also show in the card window.
On a custom view for either Order Fiels or Client files you can add a field type "File Notes (edit)"
Fixed Duplicate Product Bug
Previously when you duplicated a product there was a bug where it would not take you to the new product once the duplication was complete.
Now after the duplication you are shown the new product not the original, one.
Add New Option Group
The button to 'Add Option Group' is now always visible and not at the bottom of the scrollable list when there is a large number of Option Groups.
Dashboard Task Link
In certain instances clicking the project link from a dashboard would take you to the wrong order, this is now fixed.
New Task View and @Mentions
There are now two views for order tasks, the existing list view as well as a new card view.
The new task view shows a filterable list of tasks on an order. These tasks are shown with the full description in a format that makes it easier to quickly view.
It is possible to mention someone in the task by the '@' character follower by their name. A list pops up with matching employees names.
As you type the list fill filter based on the characters typed. The arrow keys can be used to move the selection up and down this list. Press enter to select the highlighted person.
Once modifying the field is complete, an email will be sent to the mention user.
Clicking the link in the email will take the user directly to the task in the woodge system.
If multiple people are mentioned that all notified parties will be emailed.
The same behaviour is also accessible form the task card window.
Custom Catalogue Import Improvements
Import configurations can now be saved and loaded from the Custom Catalogue Import screen.
Set the column types and field values as required.
Go to 'Import Templates' and click save.
Enter a name for the template. This template can now be reloaded at any time to repeat or modify import.
Processing of the import is now done server side and is significantly quicker. The update progress can be checked by clicking the button labelled "X of X Products Imported", this will update to show how the import is progressing on the server.
